Lumen Photography Foundation was founded in 2002 by a group of emerging artists with the purpose of establishing an experimental, international platform for photographic art in Hungary.
The program of the Lumen Photography Foundation is determined by the Lumen Committee. The participation in all work of the Committee is voluntary. The members of this group have been changing since the founding of Lumen. The goals and activities of the Foundation have been continuously altered in accordance with the composition, interest and current concepts of the Committee.
Our priorities:
archive, concept, community, documentation, media criticism, politics, private sphere, public, process, research, social criticism, sustainability, typology, utopia, and many more.
