Kalinová graduated from the Department of Photography and New Media at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design, Bratislava. From the very beginning of her work she has been interested in the themes resonating in a socio-political discourse, which she comments in her own peculiar, almost saboteur way. She takes a deep interest in a reverse side of various phenomena related to a behavior of our society, its imperfections and paradoxes which she does not criticize, on the contrary, she takes pleasure in them and evolves them into a specific hyperbole.
